SEET’s Inclusion Statement

The Scottish European Educational Trust (SEET) is fully committed to creating an inclusive environment for all project participants, volunteers, employees, Trustees, and partners.

Our participants

SEET offers free educational projects to children and young people across Scotland. We ensure inclusivity and equity of access to our projects by offering a robust travel budget to pupils and schools in lower SIMD areas and rural areas.

SEET ensures that all participants have equal opportunities to participate fully in all aspects of our projects. SEET recognises the value of diversity and inclusion and is committed to promoting accessibility and supporting people with disabilities and additional support needs in participating and achieving within our projects.

SEET aims to teach children and young people to be outward looking, engaged global citizens, and to encourage meaningful, enduring, and respectful relationships to be built across different cultures. We cannot achieve this without a strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Our employees, trustees, and volunteers

SEET strives to eliminate any form of discrimination, bias, or prejudice within our organisation, and aims to be an inclusive place to work and to volunteer. We aim to create opportunities and remove barriers for everyone, both in terms of access to our services, but also access to work opportunities.

Carrying out our work

SEET’s goal is to develop inclusive projects that bring people together with different experiences and backgrounds. Through participating in our internationally themed projects, we hope that pupils will gain an increased awareness of different cultures and customs ensuring future generations are outward-looking, welcoming, and understanding of others.
